The Economic Performance Measurement (EPM) team objective is to integrate economics within decision making and measurement processes at Allstate Financial. This requires not only development of economic metrics, but also strategic coordination of processes the organization leverages to create value and manage risk. The scope and responsibilities of this job are: Design and implement additional economic metrics to supplement current AF metrics related some or all of the following: overall financial performance; investments; risk profile; product pricing; ALM; product/line of business performance; strategic decision making; and capital management. Coordinate with modeling and other internal production areas to ensure timely and accurate calculation of economic measurements. Deliver periodic economic metric analysis and reports for senior management and business decision making and measurement. Requires: Excellent financial modeling and analysis skills, as well as experience implementing or ability to implement measurement systems. Personal initiative and project management capabilities. Self starter, ability to work independently as well as among teams and people from all business areas, flexibility to adapt to changing priorities, keen attention to detail. Creative thinker with research capabilities specifically around financial services value & risk management. Strong oral and written communication skills. Prior experience / familiarity with investments, life insurance, banking and/or corporate finance with specific roles in ALM, consulting, corporate planning, measurement/analysis, modeling and/or pricing; experience with FTP, economic or embedded value systems a plus. Ability and desire to evolve leadership responsibilities. ASA/FSA level actuaries; will consider non-actuaries with unique experiences reporting or using economic performance measurements. CFA, MBA, CERA a plus.Experience Required:4+ years relevant experience or significant potential Computer Proficiency:Sophisticated user of MS Office; prior experience/knowledge of investment/pricing/ALM modeling software/packages a plus.
