Assistant Controller/Accounting Manager

A growing San Diego based investment advisor is seeking to add a high quality individual to add to their Operations staff.  This person would work directly with the CFO/CCO to manage the firm’s financial, accounting, regulatory and business functions including but not limited to:

  Oversight of fund operations Review of monthly fund financial statements Coordination of fund audits Preparation of monthly advisory company financial statements Preparation of management reports for advisory companies Budget preparation and monitoring Processing of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Tax planning Coordination of payroll with outsourced payroll company HR management Management of SEC regulatory compliance Other duties as required

 

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Team player

Detail-oriented, hands on attitude and positive commitment to firm goals

Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance (Masters/CPA a plus)

Fund accounting experience required

SEC Registered Investment Advisor experience required

Proficient with desktop applications (excel, word, powerpoint)

5+ years of experience

Quickbooks knowledge a plus
