Assistant Portfolio Manager

Rydex Investments, a leading financial services firm located in Rockville, MD, has an opportunity for an Assistant Portfolio Manager.    Responsibilities: Manages day-to-day investment decisions/asset allocation of equity and fixed income funds under the direction of a Senior Portfolio Manager.  Implements investment programs and policies approved by management. Provides continuing research and analysis of market performance.  Maintains, monitors and improves the investment process.  Works with Sales, Accounting and Compliance as needed.  Performs certain reporting and operational tasks as needed. Qualifications:   Minimum of 2 years of directly applicable experience is required. Master’s degree or CFA preferred. Strong attention to detail, ability to handle multiple tasks at once, and the ability to be effective in a fast paced environment are critical. Solid analytical ability and computer skills are required. Specifically, Excel, VBA, Access, PowerPoint and Bloomberg. Understanding of and enthusiasm for financial markets required.
