Wedbush Morgan Securities (www.wedbush.com) is a full service investment bank and broker/dealer.  We are seeking seeking a talented and skilled associate who is focused on a career in equity research.  The selected candidate will support a sell-side equity research analyst  who covers the retail/women's apparel sector.  This position is located in our downtown Los Angeles corporate headquarters.

The selected candidate will:

Provide primary financial analysis and research support to publishing equity research analyst;  will build and maintain financial models; conduct regular due diligence on covered companies; contribute written sections to reports; interact with internal, institutional sales professionals as well as CEOs, CFO and COOs of covered companies.

 

Requirements:BA/BS in business, econ or related with heavy emphasis on accounting coursework  1-2 years of experience in IB, Public Accounting, performing valuation/financial analysis on publicly traded companies; financial modeling skills essential;  FINRA Series 7 license required, 86/87 highly desirable  Strong accounting and financial modeling skills essential CFA or Part desirable Must be highly computer literate and proficient in Word, Excel, Access, Outlook Proficient at sourcing and synthesizing information from numerous sources  Extremely strong communication and inter-personal skills essential Excellent financial writing skills.
