Job Description:
Provides assistance in all phases of the predevelopment process to Project Managers regarding consulting contracts. Assistance includes preparation of written and financial reports for client presentations (Word, PowerPoint, developing cash-flow models (Excel), client communication support, and travel as necessary. Position largely deals with the predevelopment financial feasibility of large mixed-use urban projects (our typical project value is +$150 million). Applicants who have experience in financial modeling and variety of different use types (residential, retail, and office), are preferred.
Knowledge of public financing tools is beneficial, but not required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Assist the Project Manager(s) in the evaluation of potential real estate developments by preparing reports and developing advanced Excel finance models.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements:
· Strong understanding of Real Estate Investment and Development.
· Understanding of Municipal Bond financial analysis for real estate projects.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to synthesize quantitative financial analysis into concise written and verbal reports.
· Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
· Highly motivated team player with excellent inter-personal skills and the ability to interface with personnel at all levels.
· BA or BS with an emphasis in Real Estate, Economics or Finance. MBA or Masters preferred.
· Strong knowledge of Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
· Three to five years of relevant experience required.
Candidates Ideal Background:
· Experience working in a professional Consulting environment.
· Background in Real Estate Finance or Valuation.
· Financial or Acquisitions Analyst in an Investment or Development capacity.
· Background working with public or municipal clients.
· Beneficial accreditations include IEDC, CCIM.
