Associate Director, Employee Benefits
The Associate Director of Benefits will be responsible for setting the strategic direction of the Benefits department, designing global benefit programs as appropriate, and managing the day-to-day implementation and administration of all health, welfare, and retirement programs. Additionally, this individual will be responsible for creating a comprehensive benefits strategy and for effectively managing the cost of benefits while providing competitive and valuable benefits to CMEG's employees. Further, this individual will effectively lead, manage and develop a team of benefits professionals and will provide consultation on all benefits matters to the CMEG Compensation Committee, Retirement Committee, Management Team, and Board of Directors. Key responsibilities include: Design, implementation and administration of all CMEG's retirement, health and welfare benefit programs, including international programs.Execution of CMEG's Benefits Strategy.Promote the benefits program to CMEG employees.Establish and manage professional relationships with vendors, carriers and consultants.Direct a department of 2-3 Benefits professionals. Responsible for operating with a defined budget and delivering on CMEG-wide benefits commitments.Lead a strategy and decision process for benefits needs across CMEG. Recommend benefits design to support stated business objectives.Select vendors/carriers for administration/outsourcing of benefits and consultants for benefits analyses.Ensure retirement, health and welfare benefits compliance with all domestic and international laws and regulations and CMEG rules.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have been in a Benefits leadership role for at least 6 years, with 3 years of supervisory experience. The role requires vision, leadership skills, organization skills, and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization. The candidate must have deep expertise in the design and administration of employee benefit programs, ideally in both retirement and health and welfare areas. Additionally, the candidate must demonstrate a high level of teamwork and project management.
A Bachelor's degree is required, with an MBA or Master's degree desired.
Experience working in the financial services industry highly desired.
