We are currently interviewing for an Associate Director, Web Management.In this role, the Associate Director works in conjunction with the VP, Marketing Communications and the Marketing Consultancy to determine web strategy to support our client’s needs. You will also serve as a catalyst for creating new ways to use the web to carry out the Department’s mission and provide customer service. This position has two direct reports.What You Will Be Doing:1. General Web Managementa. Advise the VP and business partners on matters concerning the use of web sites to advance the dissemination of information to our clients and customers b. Serve as web expert, responsible for providing expert advice on technology, usability, and accessibility; resolving complex problems with respect to content development. c. Provides advice on feasibility of web site design vis-à-vis technology/usability along with web producers assigned to teamd. Liaison with IT and Corporate e-business on development, production and all security issuese. Review and gather pertinent information regarding the redesign, restructuring, and refinement of the Department’s web site and recommends specific actions concerning aspects of restructuring, and refinementf. Develop performance measures; monitors, analyzes, and reports on web site statistics and other means related to performance measures to effectively allocate web resources2. Content Development, Marketing, and Outreacha. Keeps up to date with ongoing clients and products and Department issues to anticipate and ensure that web site provides an up-to-date and comprehensive body of information to support AIGA and AIGRb. Substantively organizes, or develops as necessary, information architecture to ensure that it is user friendly; writes and edits segues and other content as needed. c. Reviews content of immediate staff to ensure that it is written in appropriate style and tone for audience it serves and is ensures it is consistent with Brand Standardsd. Analyzes use of web site content and designe. Reaches out to audience groups to get feedback on web products through focus groups, surveys, web statistics, email, etc and uses feedback to improve web content f. Oversee system responding to web-generated email to ensure that it is as technically efficient as possible What We Require: 1. College graduate with related degree and 5 to 7 years web oversight in managerial position2. Strong project management skills3. Prior experience with use of Content Management systems with Tridion experience desired4. Copywriting in a web environment required, preferably within a marketing/advertising discipline5. Prior experience supporting web development in a matrixed client service organization6. Prior financial services/retirement products experience is a plus7. HTML knowledge is desired8. Expertise in the following software: InDesign (desired), Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop (desired), Office Suite of products (mandatory)About AIG: American International Group, Inc.
