Associate Programmer / Analyst (Java, HTML)

Principle Responsibilities May include:

 

· Maintaining content on the OppenheimerFunds websites, which includes coding of HTML, CSS, Java Script, JHTML, and JSPs.

· Work with business team and technical staff to understand and analyze needs and deliver timely solutions.

· Create standard-compliant maintainable HTML pages from designer developed wire frames and behavior specs

· Coding HTML/XHTML/AJAX/DHTML/JavaScript enabled web pages

· Track daily content changes including execution of daily content builds to ensure all content requests are handled and updates are posted to production within the SLA.

· Website production support and problem determination

· Enhancing OFI’s content management and delivery systems

 

Competencies for Success:

 

· 2+ years Java Web/UI development experience

· College degree in Computer Science or related field strongly preferred

· Proficiency in the following web technologies – HTML, XML, CSS, JavaScript

· Experience with basic SQL, and Java related technologies including: JSP, tag-libs, Struts, Java Server Faces

· Experience with web-content management systems (Interwoven Teamsite experience preferred) for managing website content, authoring, versioning and tracking.

· Strong organization, analytical skills.

· Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.  Must be able to work with clients on the phone.

· Manages time with regards to analyzing, designing, constructing and implementing tasks to achieve needed business results.

· Experience working within Windows and UNIX platforms.

· Takes responsibility for getting things done.

· Communicates well, both orally and in writing, with a variety of people across different situations.  Includes the ability to communicate with a variety of personalities.

· Preferred candidates will have a strong understanding of web server technologies and will be creative with regard to web design and familiar with technical constraints involved in designing for the web.

· Ability to manage time and work on multiple projects simultaneously.

· Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
