• MMI currently has an opening for a Benefits Assistant in our Houston TX office. The position works to provide administrative and clerical assistance to the Director of Benefits

The primary job components will include: • Provides administrative and clerical assistance in the administration, maintenance and communication of employee benefit programs. • Responds to employee inquiries regarding benefits • Assists with FMLA and Personal Leave requests and coordinates requests with the company’s third party FMLA administrator • Coordinates with payroll and updates payroll records as needed to reflect adjustments to benefits. • Reconciles employee benefit elections to monthly invoices and monthly invoices to payroll deductions for insurance billings and flexible spending accounts. • Assists with Workers’ Compensation claims. • Assist Benefits Director as needed in administering the company’s 401(k) plan.



The successful candidate will possess the following:

• High school degree required, prefer some college. • 1-2 years of benefits experience required; general human resources experience a plus. • Some knowledge of state and federal laws and related procedures as they relate to benefit issues (EEOC, ADA, FMLA, COBRA, ERISA, HIPAA, etc.). • Personal computer experience with solid knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software (Microsoft Office); knowledge of various payroll software a plus.
