Bindery Specialist/Operator

Bowne Marketing & Business Communications (BMBC) is a worldwide organization renowned for its service, reliability, technology and outstanding customer service.  We are seeking experienced individuals to join as Bindery Operators in our West Caldwell location. This position reports directly to the Bindery Supervisor, is able to set-up and operate all or most of the following equipment: cutter, folder and stitcher, particularly the Horizon binder.  Ability to multi-task various miscellaneous pieces of equipment.  Able to maintain accurate recordkeeping. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES  Bindery Specialist will operate/run machine with a high level of accuracy, troubleshooting techniques, makes adjustments where needed; will maintain machinery in operating condition, observes all safety rules and regulations.  Tasks will also include the following:Workflow Coordination, Equipment Management/Preventative Maintenance, Packaging/Shipping. SKILLS/ABILITIES/KNOWLEDGE  Must be able to manage the workflow to in production utilization and efficiency.  Possess a working knowledge of all or most bindery machinery and its maintenance particularly Horizon binders. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education and training.  One to three (1-3) years of related experience.
