MCP Alternative Asset Management (“MCP”) is a Chicago based advisor and hedge fund evaluation service provider to several Asia based financial institutions.  MCP provides services for over a $3 billion portfolio of hedge fund investments.  Hedge fund managers in the portfolio represents all strategies and are located throughout the world from the Americas, Europe, and Asia.

Responsibilities in this key role will include:Help develop capabilities to source and monitor managers located or primarily invested in Brazil and Latin America in general. Monitor invested hedge fund managers and analyze, access and communicate qualitative factors relating performance and risks. Meet with prospective hedge fund managers to determine suitability for MCP portfolios. Maintain relationships with invested and prospective hedge fund mangers in the Americas and Europe and industry contacts generally. Keep abreast of investment opportunities in hedge fund strategies and sub-strategies and be able to successfully communicate information across the investment team.Attend selected industry conferences.



The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:  Strong written, oral communication and interpersonal skills.Team oriented attitude.Related financial or hedge fund experience.Superior skills in mathematics, accounting, finance and economics.Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or equivalent preferred.CFA, CPA a plus.Disciplined work habits but yet comfortable in an entrepreneurial environment.Brazilian native or strong Brazilian background highly preferred.Some travel will be required.
