Broker Account Manager

Broker Account Manager

Purchasing Power is an Entrepreneur Magazine 2008 Hot 100* consumer finance company located in the Virginia Highlands area of midtown Atlanta. We are seeking a broker account manager with 8 - 10 years of account management experience preferably within the insurance/voluntary benefits industry.  The individual will serve as the primary liaison to broker clients with the objectives of initiating and cultivating the relationship with the goal of initiating and increasing account productivity by selling the Purchasing Power program into the brokers’ employer clients.

Key responsibilities include:

· Build and sustain positive relationships with the largest and most complex brokers and/or customers through direct and indirect communication

· Meet and/or exceed annual quota targets for individual broker targets and overall, annual client activity goals

· Trains broker account managers and sales team to drive new business opportunities within individual broker relationships 

· Develops a pipeline of opportunities through direct contact or from leads generated through broker relationships

· Plans, coordinates and conducts broker and General Agent training, enrollment meetings and broker activities such as seminars and advisory boards

· Engages partners at the senior level and cross-functionally within the broker to help select and pursue opportunities with maximum potential

· Provides support to the field broker with support materials/training/direct selling

· Develops an annual marketing plan for broker

· Drives tracking of activity and sales generated overall as well as by region, sales team, and salesperson as a result of the program. Conducts plan and reviews with field management

· Works with regional broker teams to build awareness and cultivate new client activity

· Travel estimated at 25 – 50%

 

 

Qualifications:

· Strong selling, interpersonal and relationship cultivation skills

· Ability to conceptualize and sell ideas internally and externally. Innovation and the ability to gain consensus is necessary

· Solid strategic, negotiation and presentation skills

· Background in sales and/or account management

· Superior relationship building skills ; Excellent written and verbal skills

· Thorough knowledge of the insurance/voluntary benefit industry is preferred

· Demonstrated results from relationship management and selling skills

· Bachelors degree required
