We have an immediate opening for a highly motivated, energetic, detail-oriented Business Development Associate who is skilled at relationship building.  If you are a dedicated professional who has what it takes to successfully sell over the phone this is the position for you. 

 

The successful candidate will have a minimum 3 – 5 years experience selling complex products and services to a savvy customer base in a corporate environment. 





 

Key Duties:

 Responsible for heavy telephone and electronic communication, including extensive cold-calling.Handling the entire sales process, from initial contact through securing the signed contract.Developing new prospects by researching information sources such as trade publications and Internet resources.Exhibiting products and services at occasional trade shows and conventions, including overnight travel.



 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

 Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to manage a portfolio of customers and prospects requiring periodic follow-up.Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, while producing strong individual results.Proficiency in MS Office (Word and Excel,) Lotus Notes and Internet Research.Knowledge of the insurance industry, or a professional services field such as accounting or law is a plus.Bachelor’s degree preferred.
