SUMMARY DESCRIPTION: The primary role of this position will be to create and maintain Business Objects universes and Web Intelligence reports to support new functionality and enhancements in the Executive Reporting Tool (ERT). Additionally, this position will provide production support for the Business Objects and Informatica applications. The IT Associate must have Business Objects experience with an emphasis on XIr2 functionality. Job expectancy is 60%-80% coding and 20%-40% planning. PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: ' Work closely with clients to understand and document business requirements and to gain a thorough understanding of the business processes.' Communicate with internal and external customers, supervisor and management, using clear, user-friendly terminology (email, phone, meetings)' Ability to learn and adhere to department standards for design, development and quality control' Create and maintain Business Objects universes using Universe Designer' Create Web Intelligence reports from multiple data sources' Utilize Master Detail, Drilling, Breaks, Cross-tabs, Alerters, Filters, and Ranking in reports' Provide production support of existing Business Objects universes and Web Intelligence Reports' Stay abreast of new developments and functionality in the Business Objects offerings' Travel may be required FORMAL EDUCATION Bachelor's degree in IT related program is preferred or equivalent years of direct experience required.LICENSE/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION (minimum):  NoneWORK EXPERIENCE (list work experience, computer skills, industry, etc. required to perform the duties):  3+ years of universe and WEBI report development experience with Business Objects 2+ years experience with Business Objects XIr2; exposure to CMC functionality a plus 3+ years of SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) experience 3+ years experience with Data Warehouse methods and technologies' Additional experience with the following a plus:' ER Studio 7.5' Computer Associates Unicenter AutoSys Job Management (Scheduler)' Informatica 7.1.2 or higher' Remedy Help Desk / Change Management' Query Analyzer and SQL Server databases' Siebel, PeopleSoft, Oracle 11i Financials, Crystal Reports' OLAP Intelligence / Hyperion' Live Office, Voyager, Performance Management, Xcelcius' Microsoft Office ProductsABILITIES:  Exceptional ability in diagnosing and solving system problems while maintaining professionalism and courtesy Adaptable and resourceful, capable of working under pressure to meet aggressive deadlines with limited resources Superior interpersonal skills; ability to work productively and professionally with any level of business and technical resources Ability to learn and adhere to department standards for design, development and quality control Self-starter; shows strong self-initiative to meet project deliverables and overcome issues Able to take ownership and follow through with tasks until completion Able to work independently and with team members (brainstorming, team building activities, etc) Strong documentation skills; Must be eligible to work for any employer in the US.
