Essential Functions:Monitor product portfolio from a purchasing standpoint including supplier quotes, and product setup accuracy.Analyze purchasing metrics on a wekly basis and provide manager with updates.Anticipate problems in the areas of customer satisfaction due to delays on order processing, increased order volumes, delievery delays, and products end of life cycle.Generate alternative course of action when faced with uncertain conditions.Support junior level positions in decision making, issue resolution and learning opportunities.Actively work with marketing and suppliers to ensure successful launch of new products and/or promotional strategies.Interact with accounting and suppliers to resolve pricing discrepancies.

Qualifications:

 Thorough knowledge of purchasing principles and best practices.3-5 years purchasing or procurement experience.Supervisory experience.Knowledge of merchandising and /or ERP system (i.e. Oracle, SAP).

 

Education:

 

4 year degree required.
