The Senior WEB Systems Administrator is responsible for the defining and maintaining the CitiStreet web services infrastructure and components.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Participating in the planning, development, and implementation of client specific sites used to deliver services to the public.
• Responsible for achieving overall technical integrity of organization's website
• Maintains servers, creates monitoring reports and logs, and ensures functionality of links
• Evaluating, recommending, developing, and maintaining software tools and utilities that support development and maintenance of Web applications and interfaces. Specifically the implementation, configuration and management of the corporations web hosting and application environment. This includes web hosting products such as Apache and JBOSS.
• The ongoing maintenance of the products including keeping abreast of current and future releases, fix and patch levels, compatibility of the different component versions.
• Working with the Network Operations staff to insure proper monitoring and management tools are in place.
• Provide Level II/III support and problem determination as needed.
Effect of the Work – Work provides customer organizations with the ability to deliver mission critical services to a broad client base with optimum effectiveness.
• BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Five years managing distributed web technologies.
•Thorough knowledge of the implementation integration and management of Apache Web Server and JBOSS products.
• Knowledge with Client side browser technologies as well as JAVA, HTTP, XML, etc.
• Knowledge of 3-tier systems architecture.
• Ability to work in Linux.
