Call Center Representative - Financial Services

A Large Financial Services Company is seeking an Outbound Phone Sales Representative to make outbound calls to leads set up in their database, asking appropriate questions to elicit information which will qualify the prospective customer and close the lead by transferring the customer to the appropriate Funding Executive. 

 

Previous phone sales experience and a great attitude is a must for this position.

 

Responsibilities:

Ø       Outbound Calls to potential customers (database) to promote the benefit and Services of the company. 

Ø       Call objective is

o        Determine that the lead fits the profile of a customer we want to do business with

o        Accomplish a warm transfer to Funding Executives

Ø       Management of lead/prospect database

o        Identifying Leads that will require additional Research  (bad phone numbers)

o        Identify and label for removal from our active database leads that meet our requirements

o        Identify and label leads that should be actively pursued by our outbound efforts

Ø       Represents the company in a positive and professional manner

o        Promotes and sells products and services of company.

o        Responsible for initiating calls to potential clients using a prepared selling script.

Ø       Establishes and meets/exceeds sales goals and objectives in production, revenue and quality.

o        Tracking daily phone calls, Transfers and Sales Totals/Production Log

o        Generates and analyzes reports throughout to make appropriate program changes, as needed.

o        “Cold calling” to database prospects as follow up to regularly scheduled direct mail

o        Telemarketing and follow up to all inquiries

o        Prepare and update sales prospect lists daily

Ø       Supports and participates in continuous improvement activities

 

Requirements

Ø       4-6 years sales experience, preferably in a call center environment involving:

o        Financial Sales experience a plus

Ø       Strong interpersonal skills in order to effectively communicate with customers

o        Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills

o        Strong telephone/inside sales experience

Ø       Detail oriented and self motivating individuals who are not afraid to pick up the phone.

o        Assertive individuals who can overcome objections without being aggressive.

Ø       There is a good amount of data and systems work so proficiency with computers is a must.

o        Knowledge of Predictive Dialer, Windows based Operating Systems, CRM applications

Ø       Ability to relate to all levels of staff and management.

o        Good reasoning abilities and sound judgment, resourceful and well organized.

o        Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

o        Familiar with a variety of call center concepts, practices, and procedures.

o        Some flexibility with work schedule required.

  

Potential Hours (Subject to Change):

Monday                         10:30 AM-8 PM              (9.5 hr day less 1 hr or (2) 1/2 hrs)=       8.5 Hrs

Tuesday                        12:00 PM - 10:00 PM      (10 hr day less 1 1/2 Hrs) =                    8.5 hrs

Wednesday                    12:00 PM – 10:00 PM     (10 hr day less 1 1/2 hrs) =                     8.5 hrs

Thursday                       10:30 AM – 8:00 PM       (9.5 hr day less 1 hr or (2) 1/2 hrs)=       8.5 hrs

Friday                           Off

Saturday                       10:00 AM – 5:00 PM       (7 hr day less 1 hr or (2) 1/2 hrs)=          6.0 hrs

Total of 40 Hrs
