•Location:    Plano, TX •Job Status:    Full Time, Employee•Job Category:    Customer Support/Client Care Capital One Now Hiring Sr. Collectors in Plano!Associate will be responsible working delinquent pre-charge off auto industry accounts. The successful candidate will manage accounts in a manual work environment to meet or exceed expected production levels. Associate will utilize various tools, which include, but are not limited to, internet/web based tools; calling references, neighbors, place of employment to locate or obtain location information on the customer and/or collateral. Associate will be responsible for negotiating collection on delinquent accounts, and/or assigning accounts to repossession agents and/or referral to the legal department to resolve delinquency/recovery of collateral.  Associate will be responsible for thoroughly documenting actions taken on the account and following all established quality guidelines including sending letters. Build and maintain effective working relationships with management, peers, and customers.Requirements Basic Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent Preferred Qualifications: The successful candidate will excel at the following competencies and skills: Basic computer operation skills including Microsoft Office, internet skills, ability to use web-based search engines Minimum of two years collections or customer service experience Must possess strong negotiation, problem-solving, and probing skills Effectively manage time, multi-task, and prioritize while working in a blend (incoming/outgoing call) environment to complete daily tasks Teamwork oriented Strong work ethic, including but not limited to, compliance with FDCPA and applicable federal and state laws Ability to learn and follow company/department policies and procedures Flexibility to work over time Preferred: 2 successful auto collections, repossession, and/or skip tracing experience or other auto industry experience Available Schedules: Monday – Friday 10 am – 7 pm **Some Saturdays may be required for overtime*** Before you become a Capital One Associate, look closely at our associate benefits package.
