Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
• To direct the financial activities of the College.
• Supervision of the Accounting Department.
• Responsible for the maintenance and reconciliation of all G/L accounts.
• Management of the monthly closing process and generation of financial statements.
• Responsible for the preparation and coordination of the annual operating budget and related variance analysis.
• Cash management and cash flow forecasting
• Establishment and maintenance of banking relationships.
• Fiscal performance analysis of all organizational departments and activities.
• Assist the Development Department with the preparation of budgets relating to grant proposals.
• Oversight of the endowment fund and coordination with investment consultants.
• Management of Human Resource functions including administration of health insurance, retirement plan, and establishing and maintaining personnel policies.
• Coordination of capital improvement projects.
• Administration of insurance policies and coordination with insurance brokers.
• Coordination and management of the annual external audit process.
• Fiscal reporting and liaison to the Board of Trustees and committees on Audit, Finance, and Investment.
 
 
Experience Requirement:
• At least 5 years experience in the non-profit environment
• Knowledge of FASB 116 and 117
• Bachelors degree in accounting or related discipline required
• CMA, CPA, or MBA beneficial
