Client Services Representative

This position is located in downtown Dallas. 

DescriptionSouthwest Securities is a major securities clearing firm with approximately 200 correspondent clients and over 3,000 affiliated sales people in the United States and abroad. Clearing Services manages the overall relationship with the correspondent clients.ResponsibilitiesThe Client Service Representative’s primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Product knowledge and development:
  -Developing an understanding of all SWS Group products and services;
  -Understanding and communicating client needs to the appropriate Management and Operational Teams;
  -Understanding and communicating ideas for new product offerings and existing product improvements to the Head of the Relationship Management Team;

• Servicing assigned client accounts:
  -Responsible for coordinating firm resources to address specific client needs and ensure overall client satisfaction;
  -Participating in client office visitations and periodic calls to maintain the client relationship and understand client needs;
  -Rolling out of new products and services in coordination with Head of the Relationship Management Team, Marketing and Product Managers as well as Relationship Manager, if applicable;
  -Tracking client issues via Salesforce.com and ensuring timely resolution;

• Training:
  -Coordinating resources on Operational Teams to perform initial and ongoing training of client’s back office personnel;
  -Performing initial and ongoing training for client’s sales force and other front-office personnel;
  -Developing educational and informative content for publication in Clearing Services periodic publications in cooperation with Marketing Manager;

• Onboarding:
  -Coordinating with Client, Conversion and Operational Teams to develop a conversion plan;
  -Monitoring progress on established conversion milestones and alerting the Head of the Relationship Management Team of any items that fall behind schedule;
  -Communicating with the client about overall progress on the conversion on at least a weekly basis;
  -Updating weekly the Head of the Relationship Management on the status of each conversion;

• Administration:
  -Updating Salesforce.com with all appropriate client information (including but not limited to logging client contact information, calls/meetings, logging Call Reports) to facilitate management and performance reporting;
  -Interfacing with Management, Relationship Management, Compliance and Risk Management Teams to facilitate the ongoing review of existing business;
  -Reviewing monthly billing statements of assigned client accounts for accuracy;
  -Collecting past due receivable balances of assigned client accounts;
  -Assisting in the development of marketing communication deliverables (e.g., collateral, website, PowerPoint presentations, etc.);
  -Participating in committees to develop and enhance existing products and services;
  -Complying with Southwest Securities, Inc. policies and procedures manuals
Qualifications5-10 years brokerage experience
Excellent customer service skills a MUST
Bachelors degree preferred
Direct experience at a financial services firm a MUST
Direct experience at a clearing firm desirable
Series 7 & 63/66 licenses preferable
Results-oriented individual who is willing to be measured and challenged
Ability to work in a team environment to achieve established departmental and firm-wide goals and initiatives
Strong interpersonal, presentation, and negotiating skills
