Closing Assistant

The Closing Assistant will be responsible to work with closers to push a pipeline of purchase deals to close.   Primary Responsibilities include:·  Partner with a closer to insure timely closings occur·  Make introductory calls to buyers, buyer’s agent, listing agent, lenders, title companies and attorneys.·  Screen, complete, and present deeds to seller for signature·  Coordinate all aspects of closing and funding with various lenders·  Locate and confirm notary or courtesy closer·  Receive lender docs and prepare signing packages·  Prepare HUD and present to buyers, agents, auction houses, attorneys·  Ship final signing package and confirm closing took place·  Serve as point of contact for resolution of post-closing problems as needed Additional requirements include:·  Grade and clear title·  Follow up on late title work·  Assist with locating abstracts·  Order deeds and follow up on delivery timelines·  Order title updates and buyer name searches·  Special projects as required Prefer candidates that have worked in a closing capacity at a title company with national exposure.  Prefer previous experience with HUDs, preparation of closing documents, recordation, reading contracts, customer service, and title clearance.  Relocation and closing experience at a lender a plus.  Must have good oral and written communication skills.  Must be deadline oriented, work well under pressure and be comfortable working in a fast paced environment.   Interested candidates should send resume to ellenbrowen@mergisgroup.com  Ellen BrowenSenior Recruiter, Finance and Accounting PracticeThe Mergis GroupA Division of Spherion Corporationwww.spherion.com Built on more than 30 years of expertise, The Mergis Group is a specialty recruiting firm committed to helping professionals make the best career choices.
