Position Description
The Closing & Maintenance Specialist is responsible for managing the real estate option of the EquityKeyTM solution and determines whether the subject property fits the program’s profile. Responsibilities include the ordering of appraisals, title reports, wire requests and mortgage statements. The Closing & Maintenance Specialist manages the documentation related to the real estate option including details related to property purchase, disposition and filing of appropriate deeds. The Closing & Maintenance specialist evaluates the property and identifies the risks related to investment and mortgage type.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have prior experience closing real estate transactions and working with various real estate documents such as, mortgage statements, appraisal reports and title reports. The ideal candidate will be able to collect, review and analyze property information and possess the ability to render fact-based decisions on property disposition. The candidate will summarize his/her decisions in the form of a financial model. The candidate should have a working knowledge of different types of mortgage instruments and be able to surmise their prospective financial impact on each case. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, having the ability to multi-task and work on several difference cases at the same time.
Minimum Requirements:
• Possesses a four-year undergraduate degree.
• More than three years experience closing real estate transactions in either the mortgage or escrow company.
• Possess a working knowledge of real estate documents including mortgage instruments, appraisal reports, title reports, deeds, etc.
• Strong organizational skills and detail-orientation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and manage multiple cases and projects.
• Must be able to operate independently and with minimal supervision.
• Proficient PC skills in Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word).
