Brief Description: The primary responsibility of the Commercial Loan Closer will be to process and prepare the appropriate documents for a given loan. Loans may be made to individuals or businesses, and may include the following types of loans: term loans, lines of credit, secured, and unsecured. The Commercial Loan Closer must be knowledgeable in all of these products to ensure the accurate and timely review of loan files. The Commercial Loan Closer will be required to perform other tasks as required by their supervisor. The Commercial Loan Closer is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate review of loan files, so documents can be prepared. As such, the candidate must dedicate themselves to understanding all lending products offered by First Republic Bank, and have strong attention to detail. The Commercial Loan Closer must manage their workload, and maintain productivity, even if not under constant direct supervision. The Commercial Loan Closer must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills for their interactions with both internal and external contacts. The Commercial Loan Closer must have a strong sense of teamwork, and demonstrate a willingness to work within the various Commercial Loan Operations groups. Job Responsibilities: ESSESNTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS 1. Prepare loan package for funding, including completion of disbursement instruction and covenant compliance worksheet. Forward completed loan package to Commercial Loan Operations Specialist for boarding. 2. Maintain and monitor collateral around UCC(s) perfection which involves filing of UCC(s) on a regular basis. 3. Prepare file for delivery to vault or for post closing review. 4. Receive and review all signed loan closing documents for completeness, accuracy and compliance. 5. Determine that all funding and underwriting conditions have been satisfied. 6. Act as liaison between the Commercial Closing and Commercial Servicing area. Able to handle a high stress environment: month end, quarter end and year end. Must be flexible with overtime hours, must be able to work in an environment of constantly changing deadlines without losing required high level of accuracy and production. 7. Prepare commercial loan documentation for various products which includes Commercial – Unsecured and Secured by Business Assets, Stand-by Letters of Credit, Secured by Certificate of Deposits, Secured by Life Insurance, Secured to Stocks, Secured by Real Property, Individual – Unsecured and Secured. 8. Work with management to coordinate process development, training, deployment and communication needs. 9. Responsible for assisting in the implementation of new system enhancements. 10. Continual development of procedures to improve processes and efficiencies. 11. Review thoroughly and understand formation documents for various entities including corporations, partnerships, limited liability companies, trusts, etc. 12. Manage workflow of loans ensuring timely delivery of documents based on departmental requirements. OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES · Perform duties & responsibilities specific to department functions & activities. · Performs other duties & responsibilities as required or assigned by supervisor. Responsibilities include the following: 1) adhering to and complying with the applicable, federal and state laws, regulations and guidance, including those related to Anti-money laundering (i.e. Bank Secrecy Act, US PATRIOT Act, etc.) 2) adhering to Bank policies and procedures, 3) completing required training, 4) identifying and reporting suspicious activity to the AML Officer, and 5) knowing and verifying the identity of any customer(s) that enters into a relationship with the Bank.
