Commercial Mortgage Portfolio Analyst

Commercial Mortgage Portfolio Analyst:  Established New York hedge fund firm seeks an accomplished individual who will be responsible for analyzing pools of commercial mortgages and related CMBS structures and then presenting credit opinions and investment recommendations to senior investment staff.  Responsibilities include:

· Providing fundamental analysis, modeling, and sensitivity analysis of potential investments.

· Providing value-added qualitative analysis for all real estate classes, markets and structures

· Gathering information from trustees, investors, servicers and special servicers

· Creating and maintaining models for both new issue and existing CMBS transactions, incorporating ongoing delinquencies

· Contributing thoughts on the asset selection process.

Qualifications:

· 3 years minimum experience working in the fixed income market with significant CMBS experience.

· Strong commercial real estate underwriting experience with the ability to run discounted cash flow and direct cap models.

· Excellent organizational, interpersonal, writing and communication skills.

· Fluency in Trepp, Intex, and Excel.

· Strong work ethic with a demonstrated record of achievement.

· Must be highly motivated, internally driven, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
