Content Development Manager - Sales

 Position/Responsibilities

 

This position, reporting to the Manager of Sales Training Development & Delivery, shares responsibility for developing content to meet the needs of internal and external sales audiences. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

 

· Executing on training in response to product releases or changes in go-to-market strategy

· Working with in-house SMEs, content developers and 3rd-party vendors to develop training

· Defining the best way to implement the required material

· Conducting train-the-trainer sessions

· Working with fellow content developers to improve training materials and delivery methodologies

· Broadening VMware’s sales training offerings

 Desirable Skills and Experience

 

· An understanding of the sales process and terminology common for consultative selling in a technology environment

· Experience working with subject matter experts, 3rd-party vendors and content developers

· Direct sales or channel experience a plus

· Outstanding written communication skills

· Outgoing personality with excellent oral communication skills

· Can work effectively in a team environment, but demonstrates competence working independently

· Project management experience, including the management of contractors

· 3+ years experience working in a technology environment (e.g., datacenter storage, networking, enterprise applications)

· Instructional design experience for both WBT and ILT formats

· Bachelors degree required
