Contract Analyst
Brief Description: The Contract Analyst will assist in the mitigation of loss to the company through the prompt and accurate dissemination of information, including, without limitation, information associated with Wilshire contract review, escalated response review and interaction with internal and external clients, while ensuring Wilshire meets its contractual and servicing obligations. Concurrently, this individual will work with the various Risk Management departments to support new initiatives.Job Responsibilities: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Proficiently and accurately complete all department functions as assigned Maintain internal/external client relationships, as well as intradepartmental relationships Analyze data to determine departmental and global risk assessment, with the authority to carry out risk mitigation solutions Analyze Purchase, Servicing and Pooling & Servicing Agreements to determine departmental and global risk assessments, with the authority to carry out risk mitigation solutions Review and provide coordinated feedback on Consumer & Government Affairs response letters as needed Coordinate special projects Lead department / ad hoc meetings to communicate issues, changes, and company business as needed Work directly with Risk Management managers and Executives to manage and implement department initiatives Act as a conduit between departments and client, depositors, oversight managers, and asset sellers Review and update department forms, letters, process, procedures and reports Photocopy, type, file, fax and perform other clerical duties as assigned Other duties as assigned by Director Risk Management, VP Risk Management or Contract Administration Repurchase. Qualifications: GENERAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 1. Ability to read and interpret legal documents and contractual agreements2. Extensive knowledge of personal computers using Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, and Outlook3. Ability to learn and operate in-house computer systems and a variety of vendor software applications4. Ability to run queries and organize data5. Skill to type 50 words per minute, and proficient with 10-key calculator6. Ability to operate general office equipment (photocopier, fax, phone, etc.)7. Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines with attention to detail8. Excellent organizational skills9. Effective project management skills10. Ability to supervise staff11. Flexibility in dealing with new situations12. Exhibit and understand the necessity for discretion and confidentiality13. Critical thinking skills14. Team player15.
