Corporate Development/ Strategy Analyst
SUMMARY
As a Corporate Development / Strategy Lead or Analyst you will be responsible for working as part of, or leading project teams focused on corporate strategy and M&A endeavors. You assignment will involve creation of deliverables for the company' senior executive group . Specific areas of focus will include: Business portfolio strategy Investment strategy (i.e. increasing precision on where we put capital to work / begin to differentiate our business investments) Business entries / exits (e.g. geographic)M&A Support capital strategy (i.e. demand scenarios / uses) Competitive monitoring (e.g. business performance, business entries/exits, off-shore) Support for other Board of Director matters
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Macro analysis - assessing firms in their wider commercial and strategic environment including industry structure and trends, market-sizing, competitor benchmarking and value chain analysis
Micro analysis - assessing the internal workings of a firm, including financial and customer base analysis, process and organizational assessment
Strategy definition and execution - including market entry or expansion strategies, revenue model and business case development, business requirements definition
Acquisition strategy and execution - Identifying and preparing preliminary due diligence on acquisition candidates in support of specific market or line of business strategies; Supporting acquisition due diligence covering areas such as financial, product, operational, etc.; evaluating critical post integration requirements
Presentation development and delivery – Structuring, preparing and delivering presentations for the executive management team(s).
Market and competitive intelligence – Providing management with updates on key market and competitive developments such as regulatory developments, M&A activity, industry trends, etc.
Organizational engagement – for all of the above, coordinates with all levels of management to gather, analyze, summarize, and prepare recommendations

Potentially looking at varying levels:
Strategy Analyst – One to three years of work experience, preferably in strategy consulting, corporate development, investment banking, product management or related field. Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business, Economics or Finance with high academic achievement from a top tier university.
Strategy Lead – Three to five years of work experience, preferably in strategy consulting, corporate development, investment banking or related field. Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business, Economics or Finance with high academic achievement from a top tier university.
