Credit and Commercial Collections Representative

As a Credit & Commercial Collections Representative, you will be responsible for the start to finish credit and collections process for all of the customers in your designated region. You will be responsible for developing & enforcing credit and collection policies & procedures, performing risk analysis on prospective customers to establish order/credit limits, making courtesy/ collection calls on past due accounts, working closely with sales and service to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction is maintained.

MAIN ACTIVITIES
Partnership with sales & service to assure 100% customer retention
Sales support by demonstrating unique negotiation skills that will enhance future growth of the business
Develop and implement both credit and collection policies and procedures
Make credit decisions on prospective customers through contacts with trade references and additional financial sources where needed
Make courtesy/collection calls on past due accounts
Review printer & after market orders, daily, for compliance with down payment, terms and credit limits
Maintain log of printer orders for control and prompt processing of the orders
Prepare daily, weekly & monthly reports
Issue notices, as necessary, to Sales, Customer Support and Field Service advising of accounts requiring special handling & assistance
Respond to customer request; i.e. send copies of invoices, follow up for payment, full account management, etc
Responsible for monthly cash receipts, cash in transit and customer account adjustments
Prepare month end closing reports
Prepare daily/weekly “machines on hold" report for sales reps and management
Daily review of all customer accounts
Advise sales rep & management of any changes to order/credit limits and terms
Ensure credit control is meeting productivity ratio
Special projects as assigned

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must possess good communication & negotiation skills, strong sales oriented attitude, ability to adapt and perform under adverse situations, willingness to express concern and empathy while finding solutions to complex problems, and able to work in a team environment.


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Degree from four-year College or university; and must have five years commercial collections experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures, ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from customers.
