We provide service to many different types of clients, including policy holders, beneficiaries, field sales personnel and the agents who sell Symetra Financial products.  You’ll go through extensive training to be able to respond to customer inquiries via phone/correspondence on topics such as: guidelines for policy transactions, coverage verification, and premiums.  You’ll develop knowledge and continually be trained on our products, business rules and regulations.  You’ll review customer requests and provide transaction processing to include follow through on outstanding requests and system documentation. Be empowered to help your customers with their problems by finding solutions that meet their needs. You’ll identify opportunities for customer retention and cross selling, including explanations of product alternatives and programs.  Put your creative hat on and identify opportunities to improve business processes!   What Skills are needed for me to be successful? Most important is strong customer service orientation and interpersonal skills.  Other characteristics of success include excellent communication skills, strong organizational skills, great attention to detail and a strong comfort with computers/technology.  Success also includes taking initiative and being motivated to research answers and continually educate yourself!  Prior experience with telephone customer service certainly helps, but we welcome outstanding customer service professionals from any field.    Sounds great………Anything else I should know about?
