Database Developer

Strong skills with:  Oracle (9i) Development (1. PL/SQL 2. UNIX Shell Scripting 3. DB Design) and TOAD. Experience in document design, documentation, analysis and understanding requirements. Other skills listed are secondary. Qualified candidate would be involved with designing, developing, and maintaining database applications. Analyses application requirements and makes design decisions to support them. Must be able to work with product managers, project managers, and other development team members on a daily basis to analyze requirements, and design and development technical solutions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Meet with business stakeholders and other technical team members to gather and analyze application requirements Design database solutions to satisfy application (business and technical) requirements  Implement database solutions using available database development tools Provide first level operational support for development and production database systems . Provide written status reports to management regarding project status, task, and issues/risks

Qualification Requirements Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience Min 6 years working experience in Oracle Strong in SQL, PL/SQL, UNIX, shell scripting Strong in database performance tuningStrong in relational database design, data warehousing and database administration Strong technical and problem solving skills; knowledge of Oracle database server, Experience in Oracle Designer, TOAD, Oracle Enterprise Management Tools Experience in C, C++, Experience in configuration management and code version control Experience with Sun Solaris, Digital Unix, HP-UX, Windows NT/2000 Good written and verbal communication skills Excellent oral written communication skills
