EEO/M/F/D/VThe Database Reporting Manager will be responsible for managing projects from inception to completion as they relate to gathering and distributing data throughout Comdata business units. This individual will serve as a primary contact for data validation and interpretation throughout the company. This position develops and maintains various relational databases to support reporting and informational needs throughout the company, as well as develops strategies for data acquisitions, archive recovery and implementation of a database. The Database Reporting Manager monitors overall performance of all databases used to support internal reporting within the company, writes SQL code for data retrieval, modifies/develops stored procedures, creates front-end applications and reports for end users to view and manage information, and manages security for all reporting databases. The manager also develops quality assurance strategies through the creation of policies and procedures for manipulating data, as well as through system/report checks created to monitor the accuracy of the data coming in and going out of the department. The qualified candidate must have an excellent level of personal organization with excellent oral/written communication skills, must be detail oriented and must be able to handle multiple assignments promptly and effectively. The candidate must have the ability to clearly identify a project’s scope, objectives, and implementation strategy as a project leader. Excellent customer service and communication skills with experience managing technical projects independently and the ability to coordinate efforts and responsibilities of several individuals across multiple operational environments are required. The candidate must have experience using database and report development tools such as Business Objects, Crystal Reports, SQL Server, and AS400. Ability to create Access workflow solutions, administer SQL databases, and write SQL code is required. A bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent work experience with some formal technical training is preferred. At least five years of experience developing relational databases in a multi departmental and multi system environment or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
