Decision Science Manager/Director

The Decision Science Manager/Director manages a team of DS Analysts in support of credit card portfolios. The role provides overall leadership in building scoring solutions that integrate effectively into existing systems and processes while delivering strong and consistent performance.  Key responsibilities include the management a team of score developers, determining feasibility of project requests, scoping, designing, and delivering projects through to implementation. 



Essential Functions:External Client Relationship Management:  Managing assigned clients through strong business relationships.  Interface with a wide range of end-client staff to explain the benefits, limits, and requirements for proposed scoring solutionsModel Development, Design, and Management:  Participate in overall project design and delivery with DS’s other functional teams and end-clients.  Direct the development of predictive models and scores in the areas of credit risk, collection, fraud, and marketing.  Analytic Support:  Direct the development of credit risk, collection, fraud, and marketing strategies that leverage all scores and decision keys available to end-clients.  Internal Client Relationship Management Team Management

Requirements:Graduate level degree (PhD or M.S or equivalent) in Economics, Statistics, Operations Research, or related fields required.Knowledge of SAS or similar statistical software, Unix and/or Mainframe environments required. Business line experience in risk management, marketing, or operations area utilizing scoring and analytics.Good oral & written communication skills required.Knowledge of credit card application and/or receivable systems such as TSYS, FDR, ScoreX, Triad, etc. preferred.Knowledge of credit bureau systems and interfaces preferred.

Salary: Commensurate with experience
