Investment Banking Operations

IB Operations is a dynamic and diverse division that ensures trades are settled in a timely, cost efficient manner, that risk is minimized and that the client experience is a pleasant one.  Spread across multiple product areas (Derivatives, Securities, Global Finance & Foreign Exchange Operations, Loans, Trust and Securities, as well as cross functional entities) IB Operations strives to do things smarter, faster and more effectively.  It meets the technical and operational challenges of processing transactions worth hundreds of billions of Euros every day, across multiple time zones in all the major currencies and markets.

 

Job Description:

Responsible for assisting Vice President in all operational aspects of cross-product chasing. A primary responsibility will be to manage and provide key support for settlements team, by providing daily MIS and Key priority items.

 Managing a team of 20+ derivative documentation professionals in all aspects of operational service including efficient processing of the day to day business, effective control over the business flows. Effective teamwork within the Global Derivative Documentation team will be a key area for success. The role demands heavy involvement in day to day objectives and providing clear guidance to improving department targets. The candidate will be required to interface with the Front office, Transaction Management Group, Derivative Documentation and other support partners as well as external clients to ensure timely and accurate processing of both paper and electronic derivative documentation. The candidate will be responsible for managing the team encompassing all managerial duties related to efficient people management: making decisions on staffing and sourcing to deliver cost effective service while maintaining/improving staff quality by development and recruitment. The candidate will be required to play an important role in the realization of the Firm’s Target Operating Model. Must be willing to relocate

The candidate should have an appetite for resolution of issues with a creative and problem solving approach. The successful candidate must be prepared to work hard with very high levels of diligence and accuracy. Will need to be a team player, resilient to stress and have the ability to manage highly demanding situations. Excellent time management required Proven track record as a derivative documentation operations manager Excellent written and oral communication skills Thoroughness and attention to detail Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment Ability to work in a team environment in order to achieve group targets Ability to navigate complex process and architecture Excellent organizational skills Ability to work under tight deadlines and pressure Accountability, responsibility, solution and delivery focused Ability to interact successfully and build strong working relationships with various internal and external groups on a daily basis (Middle Office, Legal, Credit) Strong IT skills, such as Windows XP and Microsoft Office Experience in TSAR, Summit, GOLD, DTCC advantageous Problem solving, analytical, motivated and positive Minimum university degree with 3-5 years derivative documentation experienve required and a minimum of 2 years management experience required
