Developer/Analyst for Central File Distribution System

RESPONSIBILITIES: This Development/Analyst position is responsible for the technical design and development of the existing Central File Distribution system. This includes but is not limited to Analysis, Design, Development and Integration & Certification Testing of all platforms. Along with technical proficiency in very large relational database environments, knowledge of UNIX, batch systems, and file transfer protocols (e.g., NDM, FTP, etc) and concepts is required. Detailed knowledge of Extract Transform and Load (ETL) procedures, technologies and techniques is Preferred. REQUIREMENTS: Required Skills and Experience:Source code management tool/ object repository (Harvest, SourceSafe), Relational database design and development (DB2 UDB, Oracle), SQL and stored procedures, Sort tools (Syncsort, Cosort), Unix (AIX), Batch systems and processing, File transfer tools and protocols (NDM, FTP, etc). Typical tasks and duties include: Analyzing file distribution jobs and processes for impacts related to system, structure or content changes, Design & Developing file delivery solutions to support Core Data Ingestion, Pass-through files and/or Extract processing, Providing accountability, along with project manager (if assigned), for meeting deadlines and deliverables related to assigned projects, Providing weekly status reporting to appropriate management, Partnering with other Data Management resources & teams to ensure quality implementations and the rollout of standardized and supportable code, Providing support, as necessary, to other Data Management Teams, Performing non-production tasks including but not limited to environment refreshes, query troubleshooting, batch testing and other related operational tasks, Creating change controls as required by assigned environment and operations projects, Ensuring end to end quality of assigned projects.
