Director Advanced Design

Primary Purpose:
To provide technical and marketing support to producers, professional advisors, field management and other support personnel in furtherance of life insurance sales in the estate, business succession, charitable planning and executive benefits markets. To provide in-person seminar and recruiting support to Pacific Life RVP/FVPs.
Duties Include:
• Provide case consultation via telephone, email or in person especially with respect to the east coast AM time zones
• Conduct continuing education and marketing seminars (travel required) on advanced sales topics
• Author and review advanced life insurance sales and related material
• Work independently of direct supervision of AVP ADU and other Aliso Viejo, California management
• Assist in the recruiting efforts of RVP/FVPs
• Conduct research and complete projects on an as directed basis by AVP ADU
• Provide support to mid-west underwriting personnel on advanced sales topics

Qualifications:
• Law Degree from an ABA Accredited law school and membership in good standing in a state bar association – CPA/LLM a plus
• 5+ years life insurance home office experience in advanced life insurance underwriting or marketing (consideration will be given to prior law practice and life insurance sales office or sales organization experience).
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with experience giving presentations to large professional groups
• Knowledge of life insurance products and features, including variable and equity indexed life insurance
• Knowledge of U.S. tax and employee benefit laws pertaining to the advanced sales of life insurance
• Flexible and inclined to creativity and innovation
• Ability to communicate complex material in a simplified and straightforward manner

*Location may be Omaha or Des Moines, depending on the candidate selected for the position.
