Director, MP Finance Systems & Processes

Description:The Marketplaces is eBay’s largest business unit, driving more than two-thirds of total eBay revenue. The Marketplaces Finance team advises the President and CFO of the eBay Marketplaces about business trends and opportunities, encompassing a global business with a presence in over 30 countries. This role will offer the candidate a unique opportunity to learn the eBay business, develop relationships with finance and business leaders across the company and build a scalable, World Class Finance function. The Director’s responsibilities will be to lead a global Financial Systems team of seven professionals who are tasked with evolving our financial processes, systems and management reporting to support our global Marketplaces business. Key responsibilities include: Lead the development of the Marketplaces Finance Systems Roadmap Work with finance managers and analysts to streamline financial processes and optimize financial system usage Partner with business unit and corporate executives to define and develop management reporting that facilitates business decision making Drive the Marketplaces organization to scalable system-based management reporting  The success of this role will largely be dependent on the ability to manage various partners across the Finance, IT and business teams. The model candidate will be incredibly customer focused and will demonstrate a sense of problem awareness, an aptitude for critical thinking, an ability to break down and improve systems and processes, and have a vision for future needs.Qualifications: 10+ years of relevant experiences in a global company with at least 5 years of management experience Experience working with a global ERP system, preferably an SAP environment Substantial knowledge of operational finance processes and business processes Effective communication skills – ability to translate detailed / technical requirements into executive level presentations Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills Ability to effectively collaborate in a cross-functional and/or matrix environment Strong project management skills and an ability to work well with all levels of an organization Superb attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and deliver in a deadline-oriented environment Proven track record of leading teams to high performance results Bachelors degree in finance or commerce. Advanced degree (MBA, MS) is a big plus Bachelors degree in finance or commerce. Advanced degree (MBA, MS) is a big plus.
