The Director of Organization Effectiveness and Training plans, directs and implements human resource quality reviews to shape desired management practices throughout all divisions of the corporation. Designs and facilitates human resource development initiatives in support of overall Human Resources strategy. Assists in the development of the Human Resources organization's short and long-range strategies and work plans to achieve business results. Conducts research and analysis in support of Human Resources planning, performance measurement development and tracking, and special projects. Manage the development function including organizational development, management development, succession planning, manpower forecasting and executive development and training processes. Duties & Responsibilities 1. Deliver organizational effectiveness services in support of the HR strategic plan 2. Develop and lead the implementation of organizational effectiveness programs (e.g. workforce planning and performance management) in the Business. Identify issues and execute strategies for improving Human Resources systems and process change in performance management, executive development, succession and employee communications. 3. Identify development and training needs of executive team. Coach the executive team, providing feedback on personal and managerial effectiveness. Oversees training and team-building opportunities for the executive team, leveraging specialists when needed. 4. Directs the Leadership and Organizational Development function to identify methods for development and provide services (i.e., specific skills training, etc.) 5. Provide internal management consulting support and services across divisions/departments on a broad array of Human Resource management topics (e.g., assessing new business reconfiguration, establishing Human Resources quality measures, executive coaching, etc.) 6. Evaluate effectiveness of current management instruction and identify training needs for all levels of management personnel (e.g., conducting surveys, interviewing senior management, interviewing counterparts in other companies, etc.). 7. Research latest developments in management training methodology and techniques to conceptualize and develop programs to prepare all levels of management to be more effective in managing their businesses. 8. Negotiate with outside vendors/consultants to provide programs. 9. Develop budget and objectives and manage department within approved parameters. 10. Provide accurate reporting and analysis of Human Resources quality indicators and training statistics and provides recommendations for best practices. 11. Design, develop, and implement strategies for improving exchange of talent between areas and countries. 12. Assist with identifying and developing internal talent for management position openings. 13. Performs other related duties as assigned. Bachelor's degree in business, finance, industrial relations or organizational development; may have some post-graduate education or training. A strong understanding of the relationship between compensation and achieving business objectives, and the motivation and retention of employees. Strong management and mentoring / employee development experience. Must have prior success in mentoring people. Strong ability to persuade and influence - a thought leader. Strong, proven program management skills - must have managed at least one core HR global program in. Strong project management skills. Successful experience in building, implementing and managing global strategies. Demonstrated initiative, flexibility, team skills. Ability to consult with multiple levels of management to determine and resolve HR implications inherent to business strategy. Ability to interface and effectively influence at all levels of the organization. Good judgment, organizational awareness and strong relationship building skills. Strong organizational, communication and customer service skills. Ability to operate in an environment of tight deadlines. Attention to detail and follow-through.
