Director, Strategic Investments

Director of Strategic Investments The Director of Strategic Investments will support the development, evaluation and financial analysis of mergers, acquisitions and investments (and possible divestitures) in new Western Union business opportunities.  In partnership with others in the Strategic Investments organization, this position will be responsible for building business cases and providing due diligence support from both an accounting and financial theory and practice perspective. This person must be able to quickly interpret data and present findings to deal team members as well as key executives both within the Strategic Investments team and the Executive Management Team for Western Union.   Key Responsibilities: Responsible for all financial aspects of a transaction (business case development, valuation and pricing, due diligence completion, financial representations & warranties).  Evaluate, model and support the development, evaluation and structuring of new Western Union business opportunities (including acquisitions, equity investments, joint ventures, and divestitures). Partner with internal and external experts to identify appropriate accounting, legal, and tax treatment for issues identified in the research process.
