Dividend Specialist

 Description

The Operations group is a collection of sub-departments that is responsible for everything after an account is opened or a trade occurs. The Operations group’s responsibilities include opening customer accounts, account maintenance, receiving and delivering money and securities to customer, and much more.

 

 

Responsibilities

 Ensure that cash dividends, dividend reinvestments, stock splits and spinoffs are posted to accounts correctly and in a timely manner. Provide timely and accurate service to individuals within the firm. Balance and control customer and firm records as well as reconcile and research any problems that may arise in customer accounts. Promptly respond to email and phone calls as required. Contact other firms to claim funds and prepare for large payables such as the 31st, 1st and 15th of each month and work as a team player including cross training and answering others phones. Handling of special projects as may be assigned based on work volumes.

 

 

 

Qualifications

 2 to 3 years experience in financial service industry preferred. Prior experience with Cash Dividends and Spinoffs a plus. Ability to comprehend complex functions and procedures and disseminate that information in a clear and precise manner to others. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accurate, complete, and high-quality work in a timely manner. Self-motivated team player and individual contributor. Excellent relationship building and communication skills, both oral and written.Strong PC skills, including knowledge of MS Office products and Internet preferred.
