Job CategoryIT/Software Development Job Location US-CA-Los Angeles StatusFull Time Position description The Manager, in partnership with the Adviser Site Manager, will provide oversight of e-mail production processes for a variety of CG companies and departments. We are seeking a leader who can effectively balance business objectives and team member development responsibilities.The qualified candidate will provide leadership and direction to an experienced creative team (production associates and web writers). This individual will identify and recommend e-mail process, data and tool improvements and maintain the e-mail production schedule. Additionally, the Team Manager will develop and maintain effective relationships with key business areas and a third party vendor, as well as within the web teams in order to identify and respond strategically to the needs of our American Funds Intermediary audience (financial advisers).QualificationsThe ideal candidate will have: A minimum of five years recent supervisory experience leading a creative, e-mail production team while overseeing day-to-day activities and providing guidance and direction on key decisions Demonstrated experience developing and coaching staff. This includes setting and managing performance expectations as well as writing and presenting written performance reviews Experience working within a complex e-mail production process is necessary including the ability to provide oversight and direction on multiple e-mail program production lines and activities from inception through e-mail delivery. This includes coordinating with other managers on the web team and management in other departments to prioritize work and manage resource allocation. Effective organizational, research, problem-solving and resolution skills are a must for success Ability to facilitate meetings and collaborate with various teams and departments to establish effective business relationships with Capital Group associates on all levels Experience delivering information and marketing messages related to the mutual fund or financial services industry through e-mail is preferred Knowledge of e-mail platforms and analytics.
