Included in this role is the responsibility of identifying key Business Service Views, Business Process views and maintaining both functional and organizational relationships between all Configuration Items and the established BSV and BPV. The incumbent will also Establish and maintain high standards of excellence with regards to the execution of the ECMP. Duties & Responsibilities 1. As the administrator of Configuration management this position is responsible for identifying IT components for inclusion in the Configuration Management Database (CMDB), registering new configuration items (CI) and their versions into the CMDB, managing each CI, identifying who is authorized to make changes to each CI, who is the technical and business owner of a CI, and also recording and maintaining the status of all configuration items that are contained in the CMDB. 2. The Enterprise Configuration Manager will be directly responsible for establishing and maintaining CI both Functional and Hierarchical relationships that will allow all USIT associates to perform ¿In Depth Impact Analysis¿. 3. As the administrator of Configuration management, the Enterprise Configuration Manager is responsible for establishing strong business relationships with all areas of the IT organization. By means of these relationships, the incumbent will identify new process requirements that will address business needs. Working with the Manager of Enterprise Service Management - Change & Config the Enterprise Change Manager will be responsible for the development of process oriented solutions that address these business needs. 4. The Enterprise Configuration Manager is required to generate, distribute and maintain all reports that are used to manage and administer the Enterprise Configuration Management Process (ECMP). Reports to be managed include all operational reports, all statistical metrics that are used to analyze process performance, process compliance, and general activities associated with Configuration Management, and finally, all process specific status reports. 5. Champion best practices as it relates to Configuration Management. Work closely with the Enterprise Change Manager to create presentations and in-house training to educate TransUnion associates and managers on new procedures, including risks associated with non-compliance and benefits of use. Directly responsible for the delivery of Configuration Management Process training to all new TransUnion associates. 6. The Enterprise Configuration Manager will regularly attend all CAB meetings as a senior advisor to the Change Advisory Board. During each CAB meeting, the Enterprise Configuration Manager will record all issues pertaining to Configuration Items and will take all appropriate action to address all CI related issues. 7. Performs other related duties as assigned.QualificationsThe duties and responsibilities described above are the essential functions of the job. Strong management, leadership, customer service, and project management skills. Advanced knowledge of ITIL Service Support and Service Delivery procedures. Basic architectural knowledge of both mainframe and open systems.
