Electronic Trade Support Associate

As an ETS Associate you will be responsible for providing technical support for local and remote users for a variety of front office electronic trading applications. By working on the trading floor in our Bala Cynwyd office, you will also gain exposure to an array of financial instruments, different businesses and the wider technology organization. ETS Associates have a variety of career paths available across multiple business and technical areas.. Essential Functions Manages the real time status and functionality of systems Identifies, investigates, and resolves user and system problems in a timely and efficient manner with minimal impact on trading activityAssists in the testing and rollout of new software, and modifies files, system parameters and user configurationsUtilizes programming skills to write scripts and small applications to engineer the production environment for efficient maintainability and better reliability Required/Preferred Qualifications Minimum of two (2) years experience in an Information Technology support, system administrative or development roleProven experience with UNIX and Windows Operating Systems as well as their basic applications such as editors and spreadsheetsExcellent communication and organizational skillsAbility to troubleshoot systems and applications in a timely manner Experience handling multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment as an individual contributor or team memberAbility to work flexible hours and travel occasionally to our corporate office Programming experience or scripting experience (PERL, UNIX shell scripts)a plusKnowledge of SQL a plusKnowledge of financial markets, products and/or market data is a plus* Apply Salary/Benefits At SIG, our employees are our most valued assets.
