Calvert is seeking an Equities Analyst/Trader who will be responsible for analyst coverage of a set number of companies in one or more specific sectors (such as energy or technology), including conducting financial analysis, meeting with companies, and making buy, hold, and sell recommendations to portfolio managers.  In addition, the Analyst/Trader will be responsible for all equity trades, training a back-up trader, and overseeing the trading function/technologies.  This person will also coordinate the successful functioning of an equity separate account program including front, mid, and back-end, as well as integrate compliance, performance analysis, risk management, and sales and marketing.

 

 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND JOB RESULTS:Assemble and review data on companies within one or more sectors, conduct statistical analysis, complete studies of industry groups and individual securities, make buy, sell, and hold recommendations. Develop and maintain relationships with securities dealers.  Act as firm’s liaison with industry and regulatory organizations related equity trading issues.Execute equity securities purchases and sales authorized by portfolio managers.  Provide portfolio managers with ongoing information about market sentiment, trading environment, trading volume, and price volatility.  Coordinate integration of separate account capabilities, including trading, compliance, performance analysis, and risk management.Develop systems to create and monitor customized separate accounts based on specific client screening interests. 

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO PERFORM JOB:

· 8+ years experience in the investment management field.

· At least 2 years experience as analyst; trader experience a plus.

· Experience with customized screened separate account strategies a plus.

· Demonstrated commitment and desire to work in a team environment.

· Demonstrated interest in and commitment to ESG integration approaches to investing.

· MBA and/or CFA strongly preferred.
