FINANCE / MARKETING ANALYST

Job Description Summary:

This entry-level position will be involved in many aspects of the business, including catalog circulation, merchandising, purchasing, and e-commerce.  Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, preparing and presenting reports and analyses, forecasting and analyzing sales, calculating break-even scenarios, net present value analysis, maintaining marketing files in management system, and ad hoc reporting as necessary.

Primary Responsibilities:

 Merchandising

Fully analyze the item performance, margins, contribution, and other significant factors to ensure that the company can support its sales forecast while taking the proper actions to manage the cash flow related to the inventory activities.  The merchandising responsibilities include producing both the Merch Demand Report and Item Profit Report and assisting with catalog prep and planning.

Catalog Circulation

Perform analyses in the areas of sales and assist in the preparation of the Direct Marketing (both catalog and web) sales target and forecasts.  The circulation responsibilities include updating the sales, testing progression, outside list performance reports, and producing segment-level House and/or Customer Acquisition P&L reports by catalog mailing.  The position will also assist in the management of the Department Task Schedule as needed.

Minimum and Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business, with emphasis in Finance or Marketing preferred. Expertise in spreadsheet/database/analytics tools such as Excel and Access. Ability to work accurately with numbers and mathematical concepts for a majority of the work day. Effective communication skills. Detail oriented Works well in a collaborative environment
