FINANCIAL CONSULTANT I - REVENUE

The position provides analysis, issues identification and recommendations around understanding and improving insurance revenue performance. The position will work with Product Management, Actuarial, Partner States, Sales Market Management, Marketing and other parts of the Enterprise to achieve this goal.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Monthly review of actual versus budget and prior year revenue components by product, state and customer segment. Components include new business, retention, average premium, policies in force, sales close ratio, cross selling, # of products sold, and other Balanced Scorecard KPIs which are developed. Includes supporting the monthly EPR analysis around revenue performance.
2. Coordinate and provide input into developing quarterly forecasts by product, state and component of revenue. Work with Product Management, Actuarial, Partner States, Sales Market Management, Marketing and other parts of the company to achieve this goal.
3. Coordinate and provide input into developing annual and monthly Operational Plans and budgets by product, state and components of revenue. Work with Product Management, Actuarial, Sales Market Management, Marketing and other parts of the company to achieve this goal.
4. Develop appropriate benchmarking and best in class performance for revenue by products, state, customer and by component to drive performance. This includes using internal and external resources.
5. Work towards developing a seamless process with Sales Market Management regarding how collaboratively we effectively use the information, reports, and definitions to understand the performance of the Insurance product.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• BS in Finance required and an MBA in Finance preferred.
• Excellent Analytical and Problem solving skills to identify issues and develop
actions are required.
• Excellent business partnering skills are essential.
• An understanding of insurance is desirable.
• 5-10 years experience in finance or related area is important.
