FLORIDA Regional Medicaid Eligibility Program Manager

Rapidly expanding company, headquartered in Maryland, provides assistance in many hospitals across the nation by working with patients to establish their eligibility for public aid programs such as Medicaid, SSI, Disability, Charity, etc. The staff guides patients through the application process for these programs.

The Regional Medicaid Eligibility Program Manager ensures that the Medical Assistance Eligibility Process and all other services are delivered in a professional and focused manner ensuring the best possible outcomes for our healthcare client and the self-pay population for the facilities assigned.

In Palm Coast/Ormand Beach/DeLand/Orange City, FL, there is a position available for Regional Medicaid Eligibility Program Manager.

Persons in this position:

Ø  Ensure that staff are performing their job functions

Ø  Assist in the training of new employees reporting to Regional Manager 

Ø  Ensure that all weekly and monthly reports are completed timely and reviewed and/or submitted 

Ø  Develop and maintain an extensive knowledge base for Federal and State administered programs, eligibility systems, status codes, and their relationships to function as an advisor to assigned managers

Ø  Ensure that all accounts are documented and followed-up in accordance with the guidelines established in the training manuals and included in the client hospital contract



Ø  Deliver efficient, high quality services and work with a commitment to improve services work processes, and performance



Ø Work with Audit, Training and Implementation Team Leaders, as well as, Operations Manager and helps develop any action plans necessary in appropriate facilities

Ø  Maintain appropriate contact and relationships with clients

Ø  Ensures all employee reviews are completed timely and initiate disciplinary action when necessary.

Ø  Some college and five plus years of related experience and/or training

Ø  Accurate typing/data entry at a minimum of 30 wpm

Ø  Ability to use a PC effectively including various database programs.

Ø  Advanced interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.

Ø  Thorough knowledge of the Medicaid application and appeals processes.

Ø  Ability to learn multiple state/federal/local program policies and procedures

Ø   Follow complex instructions and procedures, paying close attention to details.

Ø  Ability to learn and handle multiple responsibilities; and enforce priorities set by COO.

Ø  Ability to adapt to a flexible schedule

Ø  Willingness to work as part of a team

Ø  Hospital Patient Financial Services experience helpful

Ø Bilingual a huge plus!
