Facilities Resource Operations Manager
BB&T's Facilities Resource Operations Manager manages the operational, logistical, training, and functional support requirements and needs for the BB&T Facilities Department. Monitor all BB&T Facilities projects to insure projects are in accordance with contract(s), budget, bank policy, audit, corporate standards and timelines; in addition to, managing internal staff and external vendors. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.1. Manage the strategic alignment of the department to ensure maximum delivery of client service to internal, regional and corporate clients. Coordinate long-range planning to ensure development of personnel, equipment, systems, and BB&T Facilities resources in a manner consistent with the long-range division and corporate goals.2. Manage and train internal staff to ensure all operational, audit, reporting and contractual requirements are met and in compliance for all approved projects. 3. Develop and utilize measurement tools to evaluate individuals and department results. Coach staff as needed to aid in their performance and make promotional and salary recommendations to department management.4. Manage vendor relationships and provide direction to external vendors, with a focus on banking equipment and service providers, facilities maintenance service provider, master broker, architects, and engineers, to ensure compliance with BB&T standards.5. Maintain relationships with a team of cross-functional internal departments to include various entities of Support Services, Banking Network, Marketing, Strategic Planning, and Strategic Vendor Management. 6. Manage the Facilities Resource Management Certification Program to ensure the curriculum coincides with industry standards and applies to banking facilities while maximizing employee performance at various levels of construction expertise.7. Manage construction compliance, to ensure architect of record, construction drawings, and plan designs are in accordance with BB&T standards.8. Perform reviews on all BB&T Facilities projects to forecast future projects, monitor project budgets and offer quality control on project timelines and reporting.9. Develop, administer, and operate assigned area within expense budget guidelines.10. Conduct and attend divisional and departmental meetings on process improvements and various project status meetings.11. Review and sign all architectural contracts on behalf of the corporation.12. Represent the corporation in business and professional organizations and associations to gain additional perspective and to promote the corporation’s public image. Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or comparable education and related training2. Five or more years of experience in commercial real estate and/or commercial construction field with at least two years in bank related facilities3. Experience in planning and maintaining project budgets and schedules4. Experience in staff and process management5. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and time management skills6. Working knowledge of desktop applications (i.e. Word, Excel, MS Project and MS MapPoint)7. Must have a valid drivers license and ability to travel, occasionally overnight Desired Skills:1.
