Position Description:The Agency Manager is responsible for sales and marketing of insurance products and customer service to new and existing clients. Our successful candidate is a team player with basic sales and customer service experience, excellent communication skills, a penchant for detail and organization, and a knack for multi-tasking, juggling priorities, and problem solving. With the right skills and talents, you’ll build a successful future for yourself by helping your customers protect their assets and achieve their financial goals. Responsibilities: Solicit and retain quality, profitable business for Farmers Insurance Group of Companies and your agency Prospecting by phone, referrals, networking, and community events Underwrite, rate, and properly place new and additional personal and commercial lines policies Sell a wide array of financial services products Service new and existing clients Maintain timely and accurate client records, keep updated at all times and generate reports as required by District Manager or Staff Skills/Qualifications: A desire to provide a valuable service to the community Exceptional people skills Ability to communicate effectively Superior level of professionalism Highly organized and detail oriented Ability to multi-task on a consistent basis Strong problem solving skills Ability to network and take initiative Strong work ethic with a positive “can do” attitude General proficiency with MS Office and Internet College Degree OR equivalent business experience Stable employment and credit history (no bankruptcies in last 3 years) Previous sales experience helpful, but not required (excellent training provided) Fluent bi-lingual skills a plus Compensation:We pay top commissions with a lucrative two-year income subsidy after training period. Successful candidate will have first year income of $50,000 - $60,000 growing to $100,000 + within 3 – 5 years. The income opportunity is unlimited. In 2006, the top 2500 Farmers Agency Managers earned an average of over $500,000 and the top 500 Farmers Agency Managers earned an average of $1,000,000.
