Review indirect allocations to ensure PLC is properly being allocated costs by IT and Staff areas. The main focus will be the LAE trend costs utilizing SAP reports to drill down to CBD level and communicating the results to senior management.Assist with the monthly LAE trend reporting and variance analysis associated with all aspects of this report. This will include direct and indirect ULAE as well as ALAE analysis. Work directly with the Controller to analyze and report Cost per Claim by line of coverage once the functionality is implemented.Assist monitoring the monthly LAE by State and report results to senior management across business segments.Assist in the month end close process to include preparation of journal entries, actual vs. budget account analysis, and compiling month end reports. Will also assist in the annual budget process.Maintain and distribute the monthly postage database to the appropriate staff and work with the IT department to ensure all sites have access. Performs special projects and other duties as assigned. This would include working with the Controller to perform industry benchmarking activities and researching ways of enhancing divisional allocations.SKILLS/EXPEIRENCE REQUIRED:Knowledge of personal lines insurance industry preferred but not mandatory. Demonstrated interpersonal, oral and written communnication skills. Must have excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitasks. The person must have an Accounting background and be proficient in SAP (BW, R3 and Report writing a plus), Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables a must) and Access database.BA/BS degree in Business or Systems or equivalent education and/or experience. Minimum relevant experience required 3-5 years.
