SUMMARY DESCRIPTION: Under general supervision, performs intermediate to advanced level of financial analysis duties supporting the company planning, budgeting, and financial reporting processes. Conducts and documents more complex financial analysis projects in support of economic decisions made by executive management.PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Coordinate and develop the annual operating plan for assigned departments, including updating the department's forecast as necessary, as well as identifying variances and recommending corrective action relating to cost controls.2. Conduct financial and strategic analysis to support significant business decisions (e.g. new product initiatives, cost benefit analysis, outsourcing). Make recommendations regarding alternative courses of action.3. Analyze revenue drivers. Develop models to forecast profitability and determine sensitivity analysis regarding multiple variable changes such as market appreciation/depreciation, fee structures, and sales projections.4. Participate in annual contract renewal process and assist with fund board reporting requirements.5. Issue monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reports used by senior management, such as strategic initiative progress, sales/assets trends, etc.6. Challenge and restructure existing processes to achieve synergies and efficiencies across the organization.7. Ability to work and average 50 hours per week MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: Minimum knowledge includes the ability to apply general professional concepts, practices, and methods for financial analysis such as NPV, IRR, Cash Flow, ratio analysis, leasing, etc. In relation to other jobs in the same function, this job requires an intermediate to advanced level of proficiency to work on assignments of standard difficulty.WORK EXPERIENCE: Four to six years of related work experience necessary to perform the quantitative and financial analysis required for strategic planning of the company. EDUCATION/TRAINING: Master's degree in a business-field required or bachelor's degree with equivalent work experience.SKILLS: Ability to perform complex financial analysis using spreadsheets, including discounted cash flows, and to graphically display the results of such analysis. Strong presentation and communication skills are required to interact with all levels of management.
